DUA was formed by the singer Lily Latuheru and the guitarist Stefano Malatesta. Lily, born and raised in Holland, moved to Italy in 2004 where she met Stefano Malatesta (composer, arranger, jazz/blue guitarist). Together they founded the project DUA in May 2004, before that time singing used to be a Lily’s hobby. With the formation of a live band, DUA started giving concerts in important nightclubs and theatres in Italy. The band is formed by Pierpaolo Ranieri (bass), Mimmo Antonini (drums) and Stefano Malatesta (guitar) and Lily Latuheru as lead vocalist. In 2006 DUA decided to record a cd of their music, the first album of the two artists: NICE. You can understand their love for neo-soul and lounge music listening to the sounds and atmosphere coming from the songs written by DUA. Moreover Lily collaborates in other situations such as with Gazzara Project and Boop Sisters, and Stefano takes part to several different projects, he plays with the Alessya Piermarini N.S.EX, plays guitar for Ronnie Lee Peterson and Steve Potts, produces artists as Carlotta Centanni and Sergio Dalanuà. Their cd “NICE” is available in most of the record shops of Italy.
