He was born in Como in 1970, he studied computer engineering at Padua University and composition at Conservatory Cesare Pollini in Padua where he took his diploma. Very important for his professional training were the meetings and lessons with Gérard Grisey, Brian Ferneyhough and Salvatore Sciarrino. He studied electronic music at IRCAM, at Centro Temporeale and in Padua (with Nicola Bernardini). His music was commissioned and exexuted in several countries, during occasions like Musik-biennale Berlin, Festival Aix-en-Provence, De Eijsbreker Amsterdam, Voix Nouvelles Paris, PrimaVerona, Gaudeamus Music Week Amsterdam, Siren Musikdagar Göteborg,
Bŕrtok Festival, Jornadas de Musica Electroacustica Montevideo, Array Music Toronto, Wetterfest Wien, NovecentoMusica Milano, Metafonie-La Scala. In 2005 was created in Poitiers the grand opera Cuore - libretto by Caroline Gautier, from Edmondo De Amicis' works - that will have had a run of several nights in theaters like Opéra- Bastille Paris, Opéra de Massy, Opéra de Lille, théâtre de Angers, Opéra de Nantes.
He worked for several dance shows, like Disteso, berceuse, on commission of Fondation Royaumont, coregraphies by Thierry Lafont (created in 2000 by Percussions de Strasbourg and Les Jeunes Solistes). In 2004 the commision of Teatro Regio di Torino for Alice nel paese delle meraviglie with coreographies by Matteo Levaggi. In 2006 the research work on singing and movement Choregraphier le choeur with coreographer Nicole Piazzon. Particularly important was the collaboration with the coreographer Laura Pulin who produced several shows like Talismaněe, Alla radio Gardel, Casanova and the recent Canto (2007). In pop-rock music world he worked as a composer, arranger and orchestra conductor. He collaborated to the records: Bluvertigo - Zero and Poptools, Cristina Donŕ - Nido, Morgan - Canzoni dell’appartamento and Da A ad A (2007). Among his recent projects the many-hands opera Pandora (Germany, 2007) eand the ‘ritual DJ set’ Cronache dal grido compresso for orchestra, rock songs and images (France, 2008).
