‘Cadence’ is one of the projects of the Micioni’s brothers born in the mid-eighties from the collaboration with three of the most appreciated session-men at the time.
The first is the drummer Agostino Marangolo, a protagonist of the Italian music scene. At the beginning of the 70s together with his brother Antonio and his cousin Carlo Pennisi he founded two of the most representative bands of avant-garde progressive rock in Italy, the Flea and the Etna. At the end of the decade he was member of the Goblin, the Italian band famous for the soundtrack of the cult horror movie ‘Profondo Rosso’. In 1980 he participated to the album ‘Nero a metà’ by Pino Daniele.
The guitar player is Carlo Pennisi, the most requested session-man in Italy. His style is similar to Steve Lukather’s and therefore the sounds in the Cadence’s album have a clear reference to Toto’s music.
The American vocalist Diane Cohob, who spent many years in Italy, is the third member of the band.
The album was very successful in Finland and the entire Scandinavian area where it was awarded the gold record in 1986.
In other countries is considered a small pearl for a restricted circle of collectors.
