It’s in 1999 that Marco Ricci started experimenting new musical expressions where brit sounds mix with electronic music, extreme sampling and rap. Beginning of ’90s Marco started playing guitar and bass and in the following nine years he made several unsuccessfull attempts to build up his own band. Then he casually met Nicola Taiss in Trento the city where they both lived in Northern Italy. Nicola had studied piano and keyboards and wanted to join a band. Their collaboration started from a deep passion for music, a strong sense of irony, the same irreverent and rebellious vision of life, an unrestrainable adventurous spirit characterized by an unusual creativiness. From northern Italy they decided to come to Rome where the producer Paolo Micioni bet on them and welcomed them in his studio. In a stimulating new environment, in contact with experienced artists and professionals Marco and Nicola are free to express themselves having at the same time the chance to learn and compare. For over one year they keep on producing new ideas and finally their first album arrives in December 2001: here you are URBAN CHILL!!
